Editorial Product Review:Amazon.com Item Description:The Wayne 3/4 HP stainless steel submersible sump pump is designed for use in basements that frequently flood. It fits in sump pits nine inches on level and four inches off level, with a ceramic mechanical seal for durability in basements with the highest water tables. Good solid pump
I use this as a sump pump for a koi pond. My previous pump (a 1/3 HP Little Giant) quit working after 3 years, so I needed a pump in a hurry. After doing some quick research on the net, I selected this as the most reasonably priced pump for my needs, with a lifetime warranty as a bonus. Since I needed it ASAP, I signed up for Amazon Prime.
Everything was as hoped for. I got it in two days and installed it without problems. This is an excellent pump and much better than the one I replaced. It can empty my sump, which is filled from a 500 gallon settlement tank, in less than half the time. The only slight negative is the top suction strainer is easily clogged and not as easily cleaned. But I'm trying to prefilter the water and it seems to be working better.

Did the job with power to spare
This pump might have been overkill - emptied my sump almost instantly. I got it instead of the 1/2 HP (or even 1/3 HP) because of the stainless steel housing. I replaced an old, failed pump which was slightly quieter, but also never seemed quite up to the task. Installation was a snap, the steel look on the top keeps the float clear of the sump wall and so far has worked perfectly.

Sump
I've installed and the pump is working great. D.C. area recieved 6 inches of rain resentley and everything worked perfectly. Seemed like a good price for the pump, they should ask again in a year.
