Solid product
I don't have much to add beyond what has already been written, but I have this model and the perpendicular model for my house. They are very well made and rugged. Very little plastic. The design prevents the hose from being pinched or twisted. They also look great and go with most home exteriors. The assembly takes about 10 minutes if you're at all mechanically inclined. The most difficult part is finding the studs to screw into. Note that if you buy the perpendicular model, you have to make sure that your hose isn't too long or it will jamb between the reel and the wall. I highly recommend this product.

Basic and Bulletproof
I was tired of replacing my hose reels every year, so I finally bought a high quality reel. I am confident this hose reel will last for well over 10 years (the length of its guarantee). On the downside, the reel is very basic in design. It does not have a guide to keep the hose neatly spooled as you wind it in. Nor does it have a fancy housing to disguise the hose or blend into the environment. However, its basic design makes it bulletproof.

Rapid Reel Rocks!
Why would anyone have one of those cheap plastic hose reels when they could have this? I put it together myself, in about 15 minutes, with no difficulty. This is quite sturdy, holds the hose neatly and since it is mounted to the wall - no tipping over when I pull some hose off of it! Our small yard looks so tidy now that the hose isn't lying in a jumble on the ground. I definitely recommend this!
