This is my first time buying a refrigerator filter. When I received and opened this product, the first thing I noticed was a filter with not so clean looking appearance,speckled with dusts and gluish looks inside and outside the filter.

It even got me wondering whether or not it was a used one since the product was just thrusted into the box without any airtight wrapping. Since I was expecting Brita filters' type of packaging, i didn't know what to make of this product.

Why am I feeling of unease using this product?
