Amazon.com Item Description:
The Omron HJ-112 Pocket Pedometer is an advanced, high-tech pedometer that--thanks to unique dual sensor technology--can be carried in your pocket or bag. Now you can just drop your pedometer in your purse to find out how much exercise you get in a typical day of work, errands, and other tasks. Of course, you can also attach it to your belt like a traditional pedometer.

A large, easy-to-read display helps you keep tabs on your workout. View larger.
The HJ-112 accurately measures your steps, as well as aerobic steps and minutes. You can also use it to measure calorie consumption during your workout, as well as the distance you've traveled.

The device's large, easy-to-read LCD display can separately display aerobic steps and minutes walked more than 10 minutes continuously, so you always have the information you need right in front of you. Meanwhile, a seven day history lets you review a full week of exercise. The device also resets at midnight automatically so it's ready to go every morning. Of course, the device can also function as a handy and highly accurate clock. It also comes with a detachable belt holder and security strap so it's always close at hand.

The HJ-112 is powered by a replaceable lithium battery (CR2032) that will last six months when used for walking 10,000 steps a day. The device measures approximately 2.8 x 2.1 x .6 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 1.1 ounces (not including battery).

Q&A - Pedometers
Does it matter where the pedometer is placed or attached?
The HJ-150 and 151 Pedometer must be positioned correctly. Attach the unit to your belt or to the top of your waistband. The unit must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function correctly. The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer can also be placed in your pocket or purse.
What's the accuracy rate of Omron pedometers?

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love it!

This is a grate unit. It took some time getting use to the 7 day log, but it is nice to have it. Once set up it works grate.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great and accurate uni
This is the best unit I've ever used. It is accurate and has the awesome functions of Steps, Aerobic steps, kcal, mileage, 7 day history and the time! WOW! We love them... yes we bought two.

Oh, please be sure to use the strap, it will save your unit in the event it slips off your belt. The snap on case hold it steady and has yet to come loose off of it but it will slide off your belt.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I like the Omron Pedometer
Purchased this Omron Pedometer because I have had three Omron pedometers previously. The best feature is that the pedometer does not have to be in an upright position to work. I am kind of rough on them, and I keep breaking the safty clip, and end up with just shoving the pedometer in my pocket, which has resulted in my breaking two of them, and one got wrecked as it got in the washer. I find it quite accurate for my needs, and I also like the feature of having the automatic 7 day recall of the steps taken, the aerobic steps, and how many miles I did. The only fault is, as I mentioned is, the plastic safty clip breaks fairly easily.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - best pedometer on the market
Started walking regularly several months ago and decided I wanted to keep track of how far I went on different days, routes, etc. I didn't want to spend a fortune on one of these things, so I bought a simple little pedometer at the local sporing goods big box for about $20.00. It worked for about 3 days, and the accuracy was really suspect. I then went through two other makes of inexpensive pedometers before getting a little smarter and reading some reviews and consumer reports.

I've been using The Omron HJ-112 daily for about three months now. It works perfectly. Totally silent, there's no clicking or popping every time I take a step. It has been in my pocket everyday. I even forget it is there until I change my clothes at night - then I take it out and check my daily total.

It keeps track of the calories burned - something I really didn't care about until I figured out it is a good way to justify cheating on the diet just a little, and it keeps a record for 7 days so I can make certain I'm keeping on track over the long haul as well.

I can't say enough about this thing. Its beautifully built, works in your pocket instead of strapped somewhere on the outside of your pants - and it cost about the same as the junk I had been buying.

Anyone need a drawer full of partly functioning pedometers?

Office Furniture - Reviews

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

While compact and convenient, Panasonic's SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesn't make the quality cut.
