Bright light but must hold switch.
Received flashlight and cranked it up. Very good, bright light but only has a push button for a switch. Push it down you got light, release and no light. I don't know if it is a bad switch or a feature. I would recommend purchasing a different flashlight.

A surprisingly good rechargeable flashlight!
I was skeptical after being disappointed with a flashlight that you shake to charge. But, this is a great product. It produces a lot of light with minimal effort, & the battery actually holds the charge for weeks. Too bulky to carry in a pocket, but that's a small disadvantage. Instructions warn to keep it at room temperature, so that rules out storage in my car. Save the shipping label; the product packaging has no warranty information, so your 1 year warranty won't be of value if you don't know where to ship it, should it fail.

does the job... nice quality
a brighter light than i expected. frankly, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and a regular battery powered flashlight of similar size based on the light amount. turning the crank handle is easy enough for pretty much anybody even for little kids or if you have bad arthritis. the finish is actually really nice, feels really well made, has the build quality of something a lot more expensive than it is. might have preferred more of a rubberized (non-slip) surface, but not a big deal. highly recommended to keep around as an emergency if you aren't using a flashlight too often. better than keeping spare D batteries around (this flashlight is probably cheaper than a few sets of D's btw) or keeping the batteries in a regular flashlight and worrying about battery leakage. don't know about longevity yet since i got it recently.
