Customer Rating: - Great washer for the money
I had a very cheap washer that lasted for 5 years. When it broke down, rather than considering spending $50 just to have someone look at it, I decided to buy a new one.
I wanted a front-loading washer because they are gentler on clothes and use less water. However, after looking at some, I realized they were mostly pretty expensive.
I did a lot of research and Consumer Reports rated this washer as the best I could hope to get for the price. Finally after much shopping, I found a white one online and ordered it. I installed it myself in about 10 minutes and started washing.
We've now owned it for 4 or 5 months and I love it. It is very easy to run, very stable and operates flawlessly. I have washed all sorts of things in it and have never had a single problem. We have this in our kitchen-area right off the living room and, while it is a little bit noisy, it is much quieter than the other standard machine I had.
The one thing I've been a little trepidatious about is the detergent drawer which feels sort of cheaply made and ill-fitting. However, I've been careful with it and have learned how to use it and it really isn't that bad. Don't let that sway you from purchasing this machine. I really think you can't get anything better for your money. Even machines that cost over 2x didn't have the performance rating this one had.
Customer Rating: - ELECTROLUX MADE -BROKE AFTER 4 WKS!
PLEASEEEEE spare yourself what has happened to us. I got this washer after it was rated a "best buy" with Consumer Reports. We got it from PC Richards who offered "installation included", not that they installed it as installation workers told us to "go to Home Depot and get a piece to attach to the water hose". We got plumber to install properly. FOUR WEEKS LATER, it stopped working. We have to use service providers per the warranty that Electrolux (who makes the Frigidaire)contracts with. First service provider dictates time when they come and then don't show up during time period that was promised or call. I call them several times and there's no answer. When I finally speak with them later that day, they said they couldn't come out for another week! Complained to a manager at PC Richards who agreed this was unacceptable but did absolutely nothing to help and was supposed to call us with a resolution, but NEVER called us back. Went through Electrolux to get another service provider who came out to do repair, It worked for one load, then BROKE AGAIN!! We need a different part. Don't hear anything from anyone for almost a week. Call service provider-part is back ordered and won't be in for another week, making our 4 week old washer inoperable for the next 3 1/2 weeks. Called Electrolux and am told "all we can do is wait for the part". Told them I want new washer as I could get that quicker than getting this fixed. Only after advising them that I am an attorney, they tell me to have service provider fax invoice and they will review it re: replacement as they only replace if it's "not serviceable". 6 days pass, I call service provider multiple times, no fax is ever sent by service provider. (See, their service people don't get paid if it gets replaced only if it's repaired). SO 23 DAYS OF NO WORKING WASHER MACHINE and counting. SPARE YOURSELF and go to sears and buy from them. Or go to a third world country where customer service might still matter. HOW CAN IT BE ANY WORSE??!!
Alienware's flagship gaming laptop, the Area-51 m9750, has plenty of appeal for high-end gamers, but the alien head aesthetic seems dated, and newer components are right around the corner.
Thanks to a rich set of features and some great new additions, Evite maintains its stature as the top service for issuing e-invitations but competitors are catching up.
