This unit was purchased to replace a very old thru-the-wall air conditioner and the difference is huge. At a fraction of the power required, it has 50 percent more cooling capacity. It runs quietly and will maintain a constant set temperature. Best of all, it comes with an installation kit which allows the use of almost any existing thru-the-wall casing so you don't have to replace that.
