Amazon.com Item Description:Turn two-by-fours into any shelving you need using only a saw and screwdriver. Here's how it works: Each ShelfLink has two apertures into which you insert your custom-cut 2-by-4s to make the legs. Then you attach four 2-by-4s to the top (using the included screws) to make the storage surface. You can create multiple shelving levels by mounting the top 2-by-4s on the very edge instead of all the way across, which allows the legs to continue upward through the link. ShelfLinks are easy to put together and can be modified or added to as storage or work areas change. ShelfLinks will support spans of up to 8 feet, and each shelf can hold up to 1,000 pounds. Note that the 2-by-4s are not included, so you will have to cut them to the desired length yourself.

Finley Wood Rack Brackets
Reasonable design. Rot/Decay Resistant. Don't know how it will hold up under UV-sun exposure. Moderately pricy unless purchased in a bulk pack. Versatile for custom design assemblies. Accepts standard grade 2 x 4s. Requires fasteners through pre-drilled holes for safe, sturdy assembly. A little tricky to install continuous shelving board. If handy make the cut-outs for the vertical posts, and a few screws secured to horizontal rails. Very sturdy! Otherwise, follow mfg. instructions and cut half sheets for shelving. That leaves voids on the ends and middle, and looks cosmetically crude. But you can cut inserts and patch them in, like I did. Useful as base supports to align/square 2x4 uprights and rails for multi-shelf storage. I used 3 of them to create the base for a 84" high x 104" long x 16" deep storage unit. Brackets on each end and one at the mid-span. Built the rest with only 2 x 4s and saved a ton of money, since brackets at each of 5 shelves = 15 brackets.

Work beautifully, but somewhat pricey for little hunks of plastic
I built a firewood rack (separate logs and kindling) with this kit and pressure treated 2x4s. Works very well and takes no time to assemble. My only complaint is that, fundamentally, these are super-inexpensive parts to have made in a factory in China and the sale price reflects a lot of profit. Oh well, they do work...

Easy to put together, and strong.
I've built 3 units with the shelf links, and I've been extremely pleased with the results. Comes with the screws, and easy to follow directions, including how to measure the "in-between" 2x4's for a snug fit. Hardest part of the whole process is picking out the best 2x4's at Home Depot or Lowes...
