Item Description:
A properly sharpened chainsaw pulls itself down through wood almost effortlessly; if you and your saw are straining to get through logs, it's probably time to sharpen the chain. But rather than driving to the hardware store and waiting a week - or getting skinned knuckles with saw files - you can make it cut like new again in just minutes with this easy-to-use power sharpener. Pre-drilled holes for bench mounting; accepts standard 4-1/2' abrasive wheels with 7/8' arbor; includes Instruction Manual. One-year warranty and Jack's Tool Shed worry-free Satisfaction Guarantee. Buyer Reviews
Average Buyer Rating: out of 5 stars

Customer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Don't waste you money!
This sharpener is not well made. The tiny plastic gears that adjust to hold the chain are already stripped, and when the grinding wheel broke before the first use, DH could not find a replacement that fit. Their catalog says the sharpener "*accepts standard 4-1/2" abrasive wheels with 7/8" arbor*", but the $15 (Oregon brand) replacement wheel with those specifications would not fit. Jack's will not answer my emails and it has been two weeks since I first wrote to them.
The people who gave it 5 stars were either paid off, or they received a different sharpener than we got.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - USER REVIEW OF CHAIN SHARPENER
THE ELECTRIC CHAIN SHARPENER WAS EASY TO USE. THE INSTRUCTIONS COULD BE MAID A LITTLE SIMPLER AND CLEARER

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - WOW
All these years I've been using sharpening files and came across this electric sharpener online and just had to have it. Its the best investment I've ever made!! I can't believe they still make sharpening files?! Its like having a brand new chain on my saw all the time everytime!!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This is a gem!
Don't be fooled - this is the same sharpener offered for 159.99 in other places. I have many bloody fingers from using a file over the past 30 years, and this little gem is a joy to use. It's easy to set up, and the indexing and locking brackets are simple, solid, and precise. I would not recommend it if you have a commercial business, but I cut 3-4 cords of wood a year, and never expect to wear it out.
