Editorial Product Review:

Item Description:
During a 400 foot bungee jump in New Zealand, we decided to either stop jumping off bridges or own a wallet we could be proud of. The result was our first duct tape wallet...unfortunately we had to hand it over with our pants to a fish and chips vendor in Auckland (OK, so sticky side out wasn't such a good idea.) But, back at our research lab (our kitchen table) after many hours of work, and the loss of our fingerprints, the 'Classic' was born. Carry it, and no one will call you Norma, (unless you want them to.)

Customer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Pretty good so far...
Well, at first glance it seems pretty well made, considering it's made of duct tape!

My only gripes so far:
1 - It's very deep, and it seems hard to stuff bills down into it. The two big grommets on the corners prevent it from fully opening up to accept bills, etc.
2 - The frontmost lefthand card slot doesn't allow the card to slide down all the way, due to interference with one of the rivets. The rivets do seem to be kind of overkill, especially considering the fact that this IS, after all, a DUCT TAPE wallet!

Bottom line: My cheap $6 duct tape wallet lasted about 1-1/2 years without the need for grommets and rivets, and allowed easier access to the contents. But then, it didn't look quite as STYLISH. ...and that's obviously very important when you're wrapping a wad of duct tape around your cash;P

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Men's Wallet
This is a clever and fun gift and very functional. The company guarantees if it ever wears out they will replace it for $6.50.

I recommend it for the man who has everything.

It would also be a nice gift for a high school graduate at the other end of the scale.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The funnest gift ever!
I got this for my Dad for Christmas. Out of all the great gifts he got I think he loved this the most! If you want a unique gift for the person who uses duct tape for everything, this is it!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Still the best.
There are a lot of duct tape wallets on the market now. As far as I know, Ducti was one of the first. And they are still the best. My son got me my first one several years ago, and when it wore out, I sent it to Ducti for a large discount on a new one! So I purchased several to give as gifts.

Nothing says "Handyman's secret weapon" like a duct tape wallet!

Digital Camera - Reviews

On paper, the Mio DigiWalker P550 looks to be an attractive gadget for the mobile professional, combining the capabilities of a PDA and GPS into one device. However, its poor battery life and subpar navigation skills tell a different story.

Though it won't appeal to the masses quite yet, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is a nice, portable device for on-the-go Web browsing, and it has some worthy upgrades.

Though it has a few design and performance glitches, the Sony Ericsson W300i is a quality, basic MP3 cell phone.

Diesel vehicles have nearly a 50-percent market share in Europe, thanks to tax incentives and diesel-friendly legislation across the EU. Diesels are so passé there that you can buy a BMW 730d and no one will think it odd that your luxury car burns oil. Pull up in a diesel 7-Series in America and people would leer at you like you've alighted from an amphibious vehicle reeking of saltwater and dead trout.

But now, thanks to the oft-reported combo of newly-raised CAFE standards, not-so-newly-raised gas prices, and the 50-state diesel engine, GM, Ford, and Chrysler are about to dip more than a hesitant toe into the diesel game. Chrysler offers a diesel in the Grand Cherokee, but soon all three automakers will offer diesels in their best-selling lineups of light trucks -- the Dodge Ram 1500 is expected to offer a 50-state diesel after 2009. Light trucks are being used to lead the charge since those buyers stand to gain the most with the least amount of (perceived) sacrifice.

Diesels currently have 3.2-percent of the American market. Some estimates put them at 15-percent by 2015. That's a huge leap, and diesel still has plenty of hurdles. Diesels will come with a cost premium over gasoline-engined cars. That should be easy enough to conquer -- incentives and some quick cost and longevity calculations should convince people of the benefit. The real hurdle is the nagging issue of perception. The plan will probably be to attack that with a price that makes the proposition unbeatable. Said Chrysler's director of environmental affairs, "If it's priced right, we can sell diesel here. Diesel can give you an immediate poke in fuel economy -- 20 to 40 percent. Not many technologies can deliver that today."
