Amazon.com Review:Tired of transporting a bulky miter saw stand from one job site to the next? The DeWalt DW723 may be the answer. Lightweight and rugged, the all-aluminum stand measures a mere 5-1/2 feet out of the box and weighs in at just 38 pounds. However, when fully assembled, it can support boards up to 16 feet long and a full 400 pounds of weight. The key to its strength lies in the stand's retractable legs, which lock securely in place then tuck away when not in use, as well as its sliding cam-lock extensions, which provide a full 16 feet of length when assembled. A carrying handle makes the stand easy to transport when fully retracted. Just throw it in the back of your pickup and it's good to go. Assembly is quick and easy, too. We had ours up and running in a matter of seconds. Mounting brackets adjust to fit most miter saws, making this the ideal workspace for the professional or do-it-yourselfer on the go.

Nice, Very Nice. . .
This is one nice piece of equipment. Very solid and well made. I have a Bosch 12" non slider saw that fits it great. The thing that I like most is that when you mount your saw to the detachable rails, you can take your saw off the the stand and still use it without taking off the rails because they have feet on the bottom of them. It is very easy to set up and tear down and very portable. One nice thing is that if you have to extend the ends to support long stock, you can always buy more of the supports and put them between the saw and the end to support flimsy stock.
They also sell the rails you mount to the saw separately in case you want to buy extra ones to mount just about any bench top tool. Dewalt did a good job on this one.

Just buy it!
I have walked by this thing in Lowes several times, it looked pretty well built.
However I bought it yesterday and have been using all day for not only my Miter saw (DW703) but I have been clamping wood to it to use my Router as well.
It stows very fast, adjustments are quick, and it's a solidly built.
Makes sure you tighten everything before you use it.
As I mentioned, it looks good in the store, but when you get it home and use it, it's a 6 out of 5 stars!

Like Having a Second Set of Hands
I recently purchased the DW723 Miter Saw Stand in anticipation of installing some new base moulding in my home. After completing my most recent job, I can't believe I did not purchase this stand with my miter saw two years ago. Matter of fact, you shouldn't buy a miter saw unless you will also buy this stand. Here are the benefits:
You work at a comfortable height. No stooping over and using phone books as a material rest if you're placing the saw on a floor or concrete pad. I did several crown jobs "on the ground", never again!
The stand is light weight, compact, and the saw easily attaches and detaches from the stand for storage or transport.
The material rests support full length trim and are fully adjustable with respect to height. This function alone is like having a second set of hands when dealing with 16-foot lengths of trim.
The stand rail has enough width and length to rest things like a tape measure, pencils, framing square, and clamps. This is a bonus since all of your measuring, marking, and stabilizing tools are easily at hand.
I read some concerns about the stand's wing-nuts and adjustment knobs being made from plastic. While I would agree that aluminum would have been a better choice since these are high stress components, I think the plastic should prove sufficiently durable for the DIY person.
Overall, this stand is really a must have if you are DIY person.

DEWALT DW723 Miter Saw Stand
I purchased this stand to use with my DW715 miter saw, and love it. I am sure there are units out there that are heavier built, but this has done everything I have needed it to do, it is very lightweight for the features it has, and it is very easy to break down for transport. I purchased it from Amazon, and received it within three days. Overall, I really don't have anything bad to say about it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-built miter saw stand.
