Read this before buying or installing
This review may keep you from damaging your bike.
The rack is a good-looking rack with a unique and smart design concept. Be aware that the color of the wood is a little lighter than it appears on screen.
I installed the rack by following the included instructions to the letter. About ten minutes after I had installed it, rested my 23lb bike on the rack and placed my girlfriend's bike on the ground beneath, the rack popped off the wall, bringing my bike to a crash on top of the other bike. You can imagine my surprise and anger when less than half of the advertised max weight load caused this.
So if you like the design of this rack enough to buy it, be aware that there are two ways to avoid this trouble. One is to make sure you can screw the rack into studs. The second installation option is to use the included drywall anchors (which I did). If you use the anchors, do not drill 5/16" holes like the instructions say. You want to drill a much smaller hole and hammer the anchors in so that it's a tight fit. I think this will prevent the rack from coming out of the wall.
My only other complaint is that the bar that rests on the wall (between the wood and the vertical metal bar was slightly bent from the manufacturer. Overall, the rack seems shoddily made. Buyer beware but evidently not everyone has these problems.

Bike storage
I have one & I'm getting another! Very good looking bike rack. I keep my pump & water bottle on the shelf. Easy to mount. Keeps the weight off my tires. Nice product.
