Buyer Reviews
Average Buyer Rating: out of 5 stars

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Adjustable height and seat stay brackets
The 3-position height adjustment for the rear wheel dropout worked. The 2 brackets to attach to the seat stay bracket has 4 positions for width and height. The screws matched the pre-threaded holes on the rear wheel dropout and on the seat stay bracket. I needed all the adjustments. My old reflector fit on the back. Everything installed well on my 15-year-old mountain bicycle.

Customer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - I got racked
This is my 2nd Delta brand rack and I like the way their rack top is setup. Lots of holes for mounting brackets, hooks, etc. (My other is a Post Porter.)

I think Universal is misleading. The height is "universal" to a point which is why I bought it, but the mountain arms are way too short. I just barely got mine to fit. But it fits and it's solid. The rack also came with mounting clips/brackets to go around seat stays that don't have rack brazons. (Another alternative is a clever Sunlite product that is basically a seatpost mounted brazon.) Installation was easy, but I can see how it might be difficult for those who have never installed one since it doesn't come with instructions.

Function wise, it's a rack. It holds my bags and panniers just fine. If you use large panniers, it might be worthwhile to get a rack with a more spacious rear guard. My delta expedition panniers would be swaying into the wheel if it weren't for my fender supports. A great little feature is the rear light mounting bracket.

The adjustable height is great. I can move it from bike to bike and adjust for different wheel sizes, fender clearance, etc.

3 stars because the mounting arms should be longer.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Versatile and easy to install
Things I like about this particular rack:

1. Platform style doubles as a fender.

2. All the little holes in the platform are ideal for bungees! Most other racks I've seen you have to get really creative with bungee strapping.

3. The range of adjustment is nice. The pre-bent straps give you some options for mounting. I was able to install this onto an XL bike with no problems. It even comes with straps for bikes with no rack mount braze-ons. I put this onto a Marin San Anselmo with plenty of braze-ons.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Again with the lousy directions
So much of what I've bought for my bike lately is ridiculously difficult to put together. (And I can assemble Ikea furniture like nobody's business.) Though this came with directions, it was just beyond me. I ended up paying my local bike shop $10 to do it for me. That said, it's a good, sturdy rack.
