Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Can't beat cheap heat!
What can I say? It makes heat when I turn it on and it cools down when I turn it off. Pretty Neat Heat for the money!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works for me!
I bought one of these for myself and one for my brother--both work very well and take the edge off of our cold rooms. Easy to set up, only generated the start-up smell for 1 day, and is exactly what I wanted. Yesterday, my TV room's baseboard heater died and it's 23 degrees out; I can hardly tell I'm down a heater because I have the DeLonghi cranked up to level 6 in the next room. I have nothing negative to say about this product.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - DeLonghi Oil Filled Radiator With Manual Controls
Heater works very well. It is almost entirely silent, just occassionally there is the slightest sound as the oil heats up and the metal expands, almost like the sound of oil heating in a fry pan. There is a slight click whenever the thermostat cycles the heat back on but all heaters do that as far as I know. There was a strong smell initially but I checked DeLonghi's web page FAQ for oil heaters and it says about 20 hours of use at the high setting is needed to burn off a harmless powder that is used to protect the element while in shipping. There are a lot of holes punches into all the radiator fins probably to increase the rate of heat transfer to the air. They look kind of funny compared to other heaters but they obviously work or DeLonghi would not have put them there.

Customer Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - perhaps mine is a lemon
Pretty amazing to see all these positive reviews. I got my TRH0715 yesterday ($49 at Sears) and it still reeks of oil a bit after over 12 hrs of use. But the worst part is that even turned all the way up it only raises my room temperature by a couple of degrees. Granted, I have the house pretty cool - right now the thermostat is set to 53F, but even so, my dinky forced air ceramic heater can get this office up to 60F after a couple/few hours.

This is my first oil filled radiator type space heater. I'm hoping that they are not all like this because I like the idea of quiet steady heat. I plan to get another brand to compare and if it is much better than this DeLonghi the DeLonghi is going back to the store.

Alienware's flagship gaming laptop, the Area-51 m9750, has plenty of appeal for high-end gamers, but the alien head aesthetic seems dated, and newer components are right around the corner.
