The winner of several industry awards, including the Editor's Choice blue ribbon from Baby Talk, each Twilight Turtle is individually hand painted for a unique, artful look that complements any nursery or children's room. Plush and soft, with a sturdy plastic shell, this nightlight is best placed on the floor in the center of the room, where it projects a starry night sky onto the ceiling and walls. For interactive fun, parents can also sit with their children and identify and describe the features of eight major constellations, including the Big Dipper and the Big Bear, with the help of the beautifully illustrated Star Guide. The Twilight Turtle also includes a warm-hearted story about how Twilight Turtle, separated from his father, uses the constellations to find his way home.
User-Friendly Operation
Simply pressing the button on the turtle's shell ignites the stars and keeps them glowing for a full 45 minutes--just enough time for most children to drift into sleep. At this point, the Twilight Turtle automatically shuts off to preserve battery life. Another push of the button reactivates the projection. In addition, the easy selection of the three soothing color choices allows your child not only to learn to identify different colors, but also to truly experience them as well. Amber radiates warmth and peace; green creates a healing and renewing atmosphere; and blue helps calm the senses. The soft, illuminating glow the Twilight Turtle emits also serves as a nightlight that makes the darkness less frightening.

A great gift for children who are afraid of the dark, or even adults who have trouble falling asleep, the Twilight Turtle runs on three 'AAA' batteries (included). It also comes with a certification of adoption, and measures a compact 14.0 x 5.0 inches (WxH), so it's easy to display and store.

- Wonderful little ladyWe already had the twilight turtle for my son and my daughter wanted her own- so we got her the ladybug. She loves it! I love the starry ceiling effect, but always hated those glow-in-the-dark star stickers, so this really does the trick. Very pretty and soothing- my kids love to change the colors- and my son thinks it's great when he wants to pretend he's camping. A great gift for infants, but my kids have continued to use for years beyond (my oldest is 5 and still uses this!). In fact, I wouldn't mind one for myself. :)
I haven't had any battery problems with either of ours- maybe have had to replace twice a year- but I don't use rechargeable, just regular alkaline AAA's.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this little lady- as well as her counterpart, the twilight turtle.

- Lady bugI haven't given this to my Grandson as yet but I've opened it and checked it out and I'm sure it'll be a hit. I'm looking forward to Christmas to give it and can't wait. I had fun myself and set it up in my own room... It'll be fun to see his face when he gets to use it... I know he'll love it as I did.

- Great relaxing toy!The PROS: It is lightweight enough so my baby (5 months) can play with it. I give it to my baby in the morning as he wakes up & this keeps him busy for a few more minutes while I get a little more sleep. :) He loves touching the light (shell), watching the constellations around his crib, & changing the colors on the turtle. I also use it at night as a cue for bedtime & I notice it settles him down after a long busy day. He loves looking at the room filled with stars. I keep it on & enjoy it myself while I breastfeed him before bedtime. The timer option is also great.
The CONS: You can't really see the brown constellation, only the blue & the green.

- A Life Saver...or at least a sleep saver!!!!!My 4yr old and 2yr old were both afraid of the dark and going to sleep in their rooms. I saw this product and gave it a try. It has been wonderful. They have not fought me once about going to bed. They love turning on their ladybugs and finding the moon and counting stars. The stars look great on the ceiling and it really does put the girls to sleep.
