Editorial Product Review:

Item Description:
The Builder's Rig is one serious rig--serious about being built to last and serious about holding whatever you need to have with you on the job site. It features pocket openings that are preshaped for easy entry and located where your hand naturally falls. Reversed taper pockets prevent spilling while the solid spine on the padded belt eliminates crushing under load. Other features include metal hammer loops, a quick-release belt buckle, an angle square pocket, and multiple hand-tool pockets with a buckle that adjusts from both sides, and fits waists 28 to 52 inches.

Amazon.com Review:
Built by the company that perfected the bucket tool organizer, the Builder's Rig from Bucket Boss is a well-crafted and well-designed tool belt sporting deep reversed-taper pockets. The well-padded belt features a quick-release buckle and a solid spine that won't stretch under loads like some belts. The smaller pockets have plenty of room for wrenches, pliers, utility knife, angle square, hand plane, pens, and pencils. There's also a tape measure pouch and a sturdy hammer loop. You could certainly spend a lot more for a tool belt--and considering you wear the thing day in and day out, it might even seem worth it--but, thanks to Bucket Boss, you don't have to. This is a solid, all-purpose tool belt at a reasonable price. --Jon Groebner

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Nail bag
Third one I have purchased (still using first one) just wanted spare. I did put a small bolt through the bags to secure them to the belt.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It's not perfect, but...
It gets the job done. I like the ease in switching around components. Sometimes, I just need to out one of the pouches on a regular belt, and this gives me that option. It's a decent light-duty rig.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Indispensable
I am a diy/weekender. It has the exact amount of room you need. It is hard to get five stars from me for anything. When the belt came to me it was way oversized. I couldn't adjust it to fit small enough, 36/38. I sent it back and the next one was the same. I cut it and stitched it into place. Besides that I love having this belt. It is lightweight compared to leather belts I have tried.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great General Belt
I was just browsing this evening and check back periodically to make sure this belt is still available (I tend to stockpile some supplies). I just read down through the reviews and thought I should chime in after having used this rig in the field professionally now for five or six years. I believe I'm still on my first one, though it really is due to be replaced soon. I have added a side bag which holds my tape, a good number of putty knives, a chisel, a couple small pry bars, a 7" speed square, and a gob of 16's sinkers. One of the pouches from this rig generally has 8's sinkers and a few other oddball things while the other is loaded with a few screwdrivers, a couple utility knives, pencils, chalk, pencil sharpeners, nail sets, junk. I noticed one comment that the plastic clip may not be durable enough. I did indeed break one, but only in the midst of a tantrum when I threw my fully-loaded belt onto concrete. It had been clipped and unclipped a few thousand times by then. I've never had a problem since. Another fellow commented that the bags tend to slide forward when stooping over. That's true, however I have overcome this by putting the included tape pouch back in between the main pouches as shown in the photo above. I don't use the tape pouch, but it makes a very effective spacer. What I really like about this belt as opposed to framers' rigs is the fact that these pouches don't hang so low. For me, most framers' rigs smack against my thighs all day and really irritate me. I find this rig to be more comfortable, plenty functional for framing, great for all-purpose use, incredibly durable, and dirt-cheap. You really can't go wrong with it.
