This is basically (though I could be wrong) styrofoam dissolved in acetone. But it works well. The acetone kills any mold or mildew/fungus/whatever in the wood, and the styrofoam reinforces, to a limited tdegree, the remaining wood fibers. Best when sed then with a two-pat epoxy filler which recreates the original shape of the wood.

However, it might be easiest and most permanent to simply replace the affected wood. I guarantee that with proper protection, replacement will last longer.
