Buyer Reviews

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Product
I live in a 4 story apartment complex and used to use the large [...] shoulder bags to carry my groceries, etc. up to the 4th floor. After noticing increased shoulder, neck, and back pain I found this shopping cart and it has been a life saver. I don't understand why other reviews have said it's hard to steer. If you tilt it on the back two wheels, it steers perfect by pushing it or pulling it. It folds up really easy and unfolds super fast. Very lightweight too.

Customer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Mixed quality product.. but Stacks & Stacks is a great company!
The first one sent to me looked fine when I took it out of the box. I checked for any damage and saw all parts were there. Based on that, I threw away the carton (big mistake). I didn't put the cart together (very simple) for a couple of days. This was replacing another one I have had for 15 years and was showing its age though still serviceable. Given the problems I have had with this one, I now realize my older one must have been different brand.

While I put the cart together, one of the plugs at the end of the tubing of the one of the main frames came out wet and mushed! Then that water ran out the other end which was missing its plug altogether. Water then ran out of the other main frame tubing which was also missing one of its plugs!

Upon very close inspection, the beginning of rust was noticeable on the inside where the cross bars entered into the main frame.

Stack & Stacks said they would have a replacement sent out immediately and I could send the damaged one back in that carton if the manufacturer even wanted it.

But apparently the manufacturer not only refused to send a replacement but they wanted the damaged one returned first for inspection because this was extremely unusual.

Not the case at all! Subsequent research on the net shows that because this product is made of steel and not stainless steel, it will rust if ever exposed to water or even in damp climates. The plugs at the end of frames are to prevent water from splashing up inside from a wet ground or during transport. Obviously missing plugs can't protect the cart. A number of complaints of rust on various sites exist.

But I liked the product -- it seemed sturdy -- it was a little narrower than my previous one and in my closet better.

Finding a replacement carton for this odd-shaped item was impossible and a packing place would charge half the price of the cart to pack it up. The manufacturer claimed I was at fault for not noticing this essentially invisible damage

I offered to pay for the second one and have the company reimburse me upon receipt of the first one in the second one's box. Charging twice for the same product, however, was against Stacks & Stacks' policy. I then offered to pay for the replacement if the manufacturer did not get the original one back at all. (I sensed the manufacturer suspected I was trying to get 2 for the price of 1.)

After Stacks & Stacks finally got the manufacturer to agree to send a replacement, guess what arrived!? A used one in a beat up carton inside another beat up carton and missing the *same* parts!

So the representative at Stacks said she would take care of this.

I know this sounds crazy -- but I am still willing to take another replacement -- as long as it is brand new and has all its parts. A friend of mine, who builds houses, etc, suggested spraying the edges where the side pieces go into the frame with Boeshield T9 to stop rusting (sold here on Amazon as well as places like REI). It is not a guarantee -- water is most certainly going to get in if used in the rain.

Customer service at Stacks & Stacks is impressive. The manufacturer is a PIA. Who ever heard of a steel shopping cart that can rust?

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Value and Handy Tote
The cart that I recently purchased was a great value and is invaluable for me since I am disabled. It was very easy to assemble. I use my cart to transport everything from groceries to potting soil, and sidewalk salt to flower and vegetable plants. It is extra sturdy for the jobs I do, too. I love it and it makes my life a whole lot easier. Well worth the price.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - These are GREAT for hauling books!
As English Dept. chair at a local high school, I bought several of these for my colleagues who endlessly were searching for noisy, bulky book carts that were always hoarded or lost, and were unbelievably noisy in the hallways. So, now two or three teachers each share one of these beauties, that have big cushy wheels that make no noise in the hallways, hold tons of books (some have to be put in oddly due to too-wide side slots, but that's easily done)... AND the thing folds up! The teachers labeled them by name and room number where kept. The days of bulky, missing book carts are over. Thanks for these. I just had to get my school to pony up $300 or so for these, and it has made our English teacher lives so much easier. And, I put them together myself. Very easy instructions. Thank you.

Intel's Core 2 Duo E6700 offers the best price-to-performance ratio we've seen in a desktop chip. For half the cost of AMD's top-of-the-line chip, you get identical if not superior performance and better power efficiency. AMD surprised us last year with its completely dominant dual-core chips, but Intel regains the crown with Core 2 Duo.
