Decent, not stellar
Not a top-shelf lamp, but it is quite a good value. Bright enough, very light-weight. However, it doesn't seem to be all that rugged; It seems to be pretty cheaply made compared to Tikka plus, for example, and well below the solid Princeton Tec lights (except their cheaply-made Aurora). If you read the instructions, you'll find that cranking the strap hinge wide open will open the battery case. This is handy. The switching mechanism requires a light touch to change light levels but is likely a bit difficult with gloves on - compare the satisfying click for the EOS or Tikka Plus.

Just stopped working.
I bought this light about 18 months ago and finally had a great chance to use it. I was on a trip to Costa Rica and needed to keep weight down, so I thought I'd bring only this headlamp. It worked when we got there, but the next day it simply wouldn't light up. I changed batteries, but no luck. I didn't bump it or otherwise treat it badly. It should have worked but didn't. What a disappointment; it's still basically brand new, but without the receipt I guess I'll try another brand. Otherwise, it seemed like a great light for the few minutes it worked.

Good lamp for the price
This is a good LED headlamp. works great and i haven't had to replace the batteries yet even after 2, 1 week long camping trips.
the one thing that could be better is the changing lamp brightness. to change from full bright to less bright is a bit difficult. you need to tap the button 1/2 way but usually wind up pressing fulling and changing it to the blinking mode. not a big deal but if you want to use a dim setting more often get the REI one.

Great lamp
I use it strictly for inside use when examining patients in poor lighting. Great for Botox injections.
