Amazon.com Review:
Prune dead branches 14 feet above head level with Black and Decker's Cordless 18-volt Pole Pruning Saw and never set up a ladder again. An eight-inch cutting bar and chain cuts branches six inches in diameter with out overexertion. A center extension slides out to reach the high branches and slides back in for lower cuts. For less downtime and more productivity, the 18-volt Nicad battery has enough runtime and power to cut one hundred 1-1/2-inch branches on a single charge. A 3-section design folds down for compact storage in the included storage bag. An extremely user-friendly tool, this saw's motor is positioned in-line with the pole so that it fits between branches easily and doesn't obstruct visibility. And, weighing only 7.6 pounds, this pruning saw is easy to handle as well. Not only does it reach high branches easily, it actually cuts them, too. The saw comes with battery, charger, storage bag, blade guard, oil bottle, and wrench. Black and Decker covers the pruning saw with a 30-day, no-risk, satisfaction guarantee as well as a full two-year warranty. --Brian Olson

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - very handy, does what it's supposed to
I have only used this with just the handle and chain sections, and it seemed to do very well, cutting 2" diameter limbs. The only two things I came across so far, was that you have to manually oil the chain, and the two sections seem to come a little loose from vibration, but never stopped running or fell apart.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cordless Electric Pole Chain Saw
This is a great tool, more than I expected. The saw has plenty of power for it's intended use. The weight is easily managed and the reach is great. I use this saw to cut downed limbs rather than fire up my gas chain saw.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - pole saw review
Black & Decker 18-Volt Cordless Electric Pole Chain Saw, 8-Inch Bar #NPP2018..
Saw was easy to use and battery life was good. had no problems through limbs up to around saucer size. nice storage case, if cutting alot suggest second battery to keep on hand. My only complaint was no self oiling system, which was no problem but you had to remember to keep oil can handy and lube often.

Customer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Missing Parts
Saw came with no instruction manual plus an allen wrench and a 2 inch empty plastic oil bottle probably worth about 30 cents. They sent the 2 tools by UPS. After 3 weeks the manual has'nt arrived yet. Guess I'll get on the phone again and see what the delay is.

On paper, the Mio DigiWalker P550 looks to be an attractive gadget for the mobile professional, combining the capabilities of a PDA and GPS into one device. However, its poor battery life and subpar navigation skills tell a different story.

Though it won't appeal to the masses quite yet, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is a nice, portable device for on-the-go Web browsing, and it has some worthy upgrades.

Though it has a few design and performance glitches, the Sony Ericsson W300i is a quality, basic MP3 cell phone.

Diesel vehicles have nearly a 50-percent market share in Europe, thanks to tax incentives and diesel-friendly legislation across the EU. Diesels are so passé there that you can buy a BMW 730d and no one will think it odd that your luxury car burns oil. Pull up in a diesel 7-Series in America and people would leer at you like you've alighted from an amphibious vehicle reeking of saltwater and dead trout.

But now, thanks to the oft-reported combo of newly-raised CAFE standards, not-so-newly-raised gas prices, and the 50-state diesel engine, GM, Ford, and Chrysler are about to dip more than a hesitant toe into the diesel game. Chrysler offers a diesel in the Grand Cherokee, but soon all three automakers will offer diesels in their best-selling lineups of light trucks -- the Dodge Ram 1500 is expected to offer a 50-state diesel after 2009. Light trucks are being used to lead the charge since those buyers stand to gain the most with the least amount of (perceived) sacrifice.

Diesels currently have 3.2-percent of the American market. Some estimates put them at 15-percent by 2015. That's a huge leap, and diesel still has plenty of hurdles. Diesels will come with a cost premium over gasoline-engined cars. That should be easy enough to conquer -- incentives and some quick cost and longevity calculations should convince people of the benefit. The real hurdle is the nagging issue of perception. The plan will probably be to attack that with a price that makes the proposition unbeatable. Said Chrysler's director of environmental affairs, "If it's priced right, we can sell diesel here. Diesel can give you an immediate poke in fuel economy -- 20 to 40 percent. Not many technologies can deliver that today."
