Customer Rating: - Managing the battery life
The only problem with this weed wacker is battery life. If you have a 3 or 4 bedroom house on a standard city plot, the two batteries can do the job, but only if you have one on the charger at all times. The charger that is included is what is called a trickle charger and will charge the battery very slowly about 6+ hrs or longer. Black and Decker does make a dual charging unit, but you have to buy it separately; this is the way I went with both batteries on the chargers at all times. They make a single battery fast charger, but you have to wait approximately 90 minutes, which makes no sense if you can just keep two batteries fully charged at all time on the dual charger and get the job done without waiting. I always make sure to run my first battery down almost all the way before I plug it back into the charger, so if you see it slow down keep going until it can't cut anymore or is cutting very little.

The dual charging station is a convenience not a necessity, but I think it's worth the extra cost.

Other than that, the unit is light and does a good job.

Customer Rating: - battery drains too quickly
Lightweight true but I had great expectations that this would solve my weed problems. The battery runs out of power within an hour. The recharge takes three hours. There are two batteries included with the grass trimmer but I need more time since it takes longer than I think it should to plow through my weeds. I rate this three stars because it does come with two batteries but wish I could rate it higher for performance. If you have a small yard to trim, you will love the freedom of going cordless.
