Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cordless Trimmer/Edger
I like this trimmer. It is easy to use and fairly light weight. It comes with two rechargeable batteries which I find to be a plus. I like the way you change it to the edger. this trimmer replaces one that was so confusing that I never knew if I got it correct or not. I don't have that trouble with this one. It also has a gauge so you can follow the edge you are doing with ease. Make sure you have your batteries charged and you won't have any trouble with this trimmer.

Customer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - great tool for *some* trimming jobs
I got this unit last year so that my teenager would quit complaining about unraveling the extension cords for our corded trimmer. I really like the ease of use of the unit, and there are some parts of the yard where this is perfect -- especially vertical surfaces like the fences and foundation of the house where you just need to trim the last inch or two of grass blades that the mower does not reach.

On the other hand, I have found this wholly inadequate for edging (even though it has a rotating head to enable this). It might be fine for edging if you have really wimpy narrow-leaf grass, but the runners from Saint Augustine are much too tough for this trimmer to handle. After only a few minutes of edging Saint Augustine, the battery drains to the point where it just won't chop through the stems any more.

I am glad to have this trimmer in my lawn maintenance arsenal - it makes it much easier to trim the fence line, the edges of the raised flowerbeds, and the foundation of the house -- but I still have to pull out my corded edger and corded string trimmer every couple of weeks to vanquish the tougher vegetation.

Customer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - It is adequate
The best, the very best word to describe it is 'adequate'. If you are expecting a tool that will cause you to work up a sweat while slaving for you, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a tool that will last up to 10 minutes on domesticated grass that is at the most 6" high and about as thick as the hairs on Jessie Ventura's head, this will do the job. The good news is that B&D was kind enough to include 2 batteries. Tbey also included instructions telling you to give the battery 5 charging cycles before the battery will achieve the life for which it was designed. On the plus side, your 95# kid or wife can use it without having to go to the doctor should the 'dumb' tool 'whip' them. I own it, and it owns me! TOM

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Grass Hog
I have used gas, corded and battery operated trimmers. This is by far the best one. I have a very large, corner city lot and I can almost complete my whole yard, front, back and both sides with one of the batteries (it comes with two batteries). I have a feeling that I will only need one battery next time. They say that the battery life gets longer with each charge and that was just the second time that I charged it. And the trimmer isn't too heavy (this coming from a woman) and has a good amount of power for super fast trimming. If you got to trim, you might as well make it as quick and painless as possible. I would highly recommend this.

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

While compact and convenient, Panasonic's SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesn't make the quality cut.
