About Utility Benches Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, free-weight lifting continues to be a popular option for home strength training. Free weights offer a special benefit in strength training because they promote quicker strength gains. Free weights also work a larger number of muscles than resistance machines, which tend to focus on isolated muscles.
Specially-designed adjustable pads, grips, and bars help limit and guide movements to minimize the possibility of muscle or joint damage. Plus, from a single utility bench, a vast number of exercises can be performed. Whether it is focusing on the abdomen, arms, chest, or any other muscle group, a utility bench can help you maximize your strength training goals while minimizing your risk of personal injury.

A good basic bench
This bench is well made and should last well. It comes unassembled. The assembly instructions are adequate but not always crystal clear. The backrest is easily and quickly adjustable, and locks securely in place. Padding is firm and comfortable. A good value for the price.

Good bench, but question longevity
This bench is good for home use; so-so to assemble, but easy to use once assembled. Doesn't fold, so you'll need some space for storage. One concern;I paid $69.99 plus $10.00 shipping for this bench which I thought was a good price at the time; but now I see the same bench sold at K-Mart for $39.99 - why such a price decrease in only 3 months, I wonder if there is something wrong with this bench that I should know about. Otherwise it serves its purpose and I would recommend it.

Good bench for light workouts
Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it is only rated for 300 lbs, otherwise, the adjustability is great

no title
Box totaly destroyed. looks like it was a return that was not reboxed properly. Light surface rust on parts of the frame. It functions so it was not worth the hassel of returning it.
