I was surprised at the quality of this item. I got it half price during an Amazon sale and my expectations were pretty low. The band is sturdy and has held up well and I work out about 5 days a week. I use the band about 1-2 days a week. I can't speak to the effectiveness of the solar belt since I use it mainly to help me keep my back straight during workouts but I always have to put it on over my workout shirt instead of directly onto my stomach because it starts to make an unpleasant (think whoppee cushion :-) noise when it gets sweaty and I move a certain way. Otherwise, I love this set. It was a good purchase.
